Sue Rahmani turned to Yoga in 2007 when her marriage broke down and she had hit rock bottom. Over a couple of years, she tried a variety of styles of Yoga regularly and in the meantime her personal practice started taking on a deeper form. She found herself studying Yogic texts and developed a desire towards Meditation and Tantra—leading her to Wales several times to study Yoga and Tantra with Swami Nishchalananda and other Yogis at the residence of the ‘Mandala Yoga Ashram’, an independent and internationally renowned yoga and meditation retreat centre.
At this stage Sue knew she wanted to continue to learn but also to pass these ancient Eastern disciplines to others. Her search began from this point, looking for a suitable Teacher Training course, based in London where she lives and works. She coincidentally met with Yogiraj Katrina Repka and was introduced to ISHTA Yoga. ISHTA means ‘that which resonates with the individual’ and is also an acronym for the Integrated Science of Hatha, Tantra and Ayurveda.
Founding Yoga for Now, Sue is now a 500-hour Experience Registered Yoga Teacher through the Yoga Alliance and an ISHTA certified teacher. She teaches Vinyasa flow, Pranayama and Meditation, Restorative and Yoga Nidra privately and in Workshops. She is also assisting with the 200-hour teacher trainings.
