Chiara Filomeni is an Italian-born singer-songwriter and vocal coach currently based in London.

She started singing at the age of 9, taking lessons from an opera singer. At the age of 12, she received her first certificate of merit by participating in the final “youth category” of the Videofestival Live in the 2007 Edition. In 2013 she was a finalist in the Cet Mogol competition on the same year, she was among the 12 participants in the final of the Castrocaro Festival, which was transmitted live on “Rai 1″, one of the most important TV channels in Italy. In 2014 she started taking part in a charity initiative called “Omaggio a Lucio Battisti, organised by the musicians of Fermo, in collaboration with “Croce Azzurra”, a volunteering and solidarity association. In 2015 she was one of the 8 winners of Area Sanremo, the most relevant Italian Festival.

After graduating with honours from the University of “Sacro Cuore” in Milan in Linguistics and Foreign Literature in 2017, she decided to move to London, as she was admitted to the Music Performance and Production Undergraduate Course at LCCM. This new musical path has led her to acquire a deep understanding of the voice as an instrument, not to mention the great opportunity to learn harmony, composition, songwriting and much more from highly qualified tutors. She is writing her own music, working on different musical projects with talented musicians from the London scene, and releasing music in Italian, staying connected to her roots.

Her decision to become a vocal coach was born from the desire to share her knowledge and experiences with the different singing teachers, who followed her and helped her choose the technique that best suits her voice. Her interest lies mainly in the care of the voice, closely related to the care of the body. In 2021 she started her own business, giving private singing lessons to pupils of different ages and levels. She recently completed her MA in International Music Marketing at Tileyard Education and she is currently working on the establishment of her music school together with her partner Daniel Michalek – a classical-trained experienced pianist.
