CLASSES & COURSES FAQ

Do you have changing facilities?
We have a shared changing area with private cubicles for changing and lockers for safe storage of your personal items. Please note, there are no showers at Embody. Check out these virtual tours of our centre, including our main reception, changing area and studio.
Do I need to bring my own mat?
You’re welcome to bring your own mat, but you may prefer to use ours. We provide responsibly-sourced Ekotex mats which are manufactured in Germany to the highest standards. They’re made of non-toxic PVC and are free of harmful substances. Hygienic wipes are provided free-of-charge for all classes and we encourage students to use mat towels which can be purchased from reception.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing clothing that is comfortable for you to work out in. Try to avoid over-sized attire that would make it difficult for the instructor to observe and correct your form during the class. Yoga and Pilates are traditionally practised barefoot. Clients are requested to remove watches and jewellery during their practice.
How do I know which class level to attend?
The majority of our classes are open to all levels, though complete beginners are advised to initially attend our beginner-level classes. In addition, we offer one-on-one sessions for individuals and small groups which can be personalised to your requirements.
Do you supply towels?
We do not supply towels but you are very welcome to bring your own to classes. For hygiene we encourage the use of mat towels which can be purchased from reception.
Do I need to reserve for a class before I come?
Pre-booking your place in a class is optional however for busier classes it is recommended to avoid disappointment. You’ll find our online booking system easy and efficient with classes available to book up to 2 weeks in advance and up to 2 hours before start-time.
How soon before my class should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start of your class (longer if you need to use our changing rooms). Entry after the start of the class is at our discretion. If late entry is permitted, students must wait until the opening meditation has finished before joining the class.
What is your cancellation policy for classes?
You may cancel a pre-booked class up to 2 hours before the class start-time. Cancellations or no-shows after that time are fully chargeable. Please see our terms and conditions for purchase and booking policies in relation to services.
Are children allowed to attend classes?
Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to attend classes unless accompanied by a parent.
Is there a waiting list for studio classes?
Our online booking system allows you to waitlist for classes showing as full. Your waitlist status will be confirmed by email. If a class space becomes available, you will be notified by email immediately and your name added to the class list.
Do you offer concessions?
Unless stated otherwise in our terms and conditions, we offer a 10% discount on class passes for full-time students, staff of charity organisations, key workers, pensioners and those on Jobseekers Allowance and Income Support. Please note that documentary proof is required to qualify for a concession and that concessions cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or promotions, and do not apply to our introductory offers or monthly autopay.
